Sorry everyone! I kind of stopped writing on my blog! I have been very busy with my six month old, work, and school! Update on Lucy.. She is sitting up well and she is seizure free! Her test at Children's Hospital in July, showed that she is no longer having any seizures. This means that they were probably caused by trauma due to the birthing experience. This is the greatest news! We are so happy that she is eventually going to get to stop taking her phenobarb ( a med. for seizures). This is great news, because I feel like the phenobarb really effects her personality; I believe the medicine prevents her from being her true self. I didn't realize, until our experience, how often children have trouble at birth. It doesn't just happen ever now and again.. it happens often. More often than I ever thought. I just feel so extremely blessed that Lucy is doing fine now, and as far as we can tell she is going to be a happy, normal, and well child. She is my absolute world.
In other news, we have opened up our aquarium! We have two blue gourami, native to Africa. They have spots and will change color. Their names are Bonnie and Clyde... I should probably go feed them.. Off I go!!

Planning a trip... Children's then to the Zoo
We will be spending this weekend in Birmingham. Lucy has to get some test run at Children's. Our plan, after we get on Saturday, is to go to the Birmingham Zoo. It looks like a fun outing we all three could enjoy, unless it is just way to hot! We need some ideas of things to do inside that Lucy could do with us. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Apologizes and NON FANS
So, I have gotten behind on posting about my challenge... but do not fret bloggers and friends.. I have lost a pound and a half and I am pretty proud of myself and my new workout routine. I've got about 58 more lbs to go, but if I can do it, anyone can. I must say, I have some very good motivation... What (or WHO) you might ask? Well, it is of course, those who think I cannot do it... people I like to consider, my biggest nonfans. You know the people I am talking about.. you probably have big nonfans yourself. People that seem to be hanging out in your life just to make it miserable. The same people that are always waiting for the most opportune moment to put you down. Or, maybe they are the extra crafty, what I like to call the "backhanded nonfan". This is a particular breed of the nonfan that likes to give out backhanded compliments.. They are equally as bad as the original nonfan... But have a tendency to get under your skin a bit worse.
I know some of you maybe thinking that I am describing a frienemy, but those type of people are far less annoying. You can actual stand to hang out with a frienemy in most social situations. Nonfans can come in all forms. Friends, relatives, coworkers, etc. It is a very sad group of people to be in. Most of the time these people think that they are better than everyone else, or at least want to be precieved as thinking that. Most of the time nonfans wish that they were you or something else besides themselves. Nonfans are pathetic, but helpful, which brings me back around to my original point. Because I have had such a big gush from certain nonfans lately, I have been motivated to do better for myself. I want to lose the weight in my challenge to prove I can do it and to prove to the nonfans that when pushed up against the wall I excel. I will do whatever they do ten times better. In the famous words of Forest Gump "That is all I got to say about that".
I have done very good with my diet, besides the weekend of the Fourth. I exercised harder on those days!

I hope everyone enjoyed their father's day weekend! Daddy's are the best!
This weekend my fiance, Thad, and I (and of course LULU) went to Cedar Bluff to spend a couple of days on Lake Weiss with his family. While I was there, his two older sister (Buffy and Celia) asked me if I wanted to join them in a weight loss challenge, and of course I jumped at the opportunity. Why, you ask? Well if you know me, you know why! I recently just had a baby, and I have put on quite a bit of extra weight. I have always been a person who has to work at keeping a healthy weight, unfortunately high metabolism isn't in my DNA. The problem with my weight loss routine is, if I do not feel challenged, I WILL NOT do it. If I feel like I am, in the word's of Charlie Sheen, "WINNING", I will try a lot harder. Everyone involved set there own goal and whoever reaches the highest percentile of their goal wins (since everyone weighs different amounts, this makes it fair). The wager is that the winner gets paid 50 bucks from all the losers........
Well I wanted to take it one step further... I decided in order to get the best outcome for myself, which is loosing 60LBS.. I want to also be accountable to my social networking friends and my blog readers! I am going to daily post my exercise routines and meal plans, and frequently post pictures of myself to show my progress. Please leave me comments of encouragement to let me know that people are reading this and are routing for me to reach my goal!!!! ALSO I WANT TO WIN THAT MONEY HONEYS! First post coming up soon!!!!

The first one...
Hello everyone out there in the blogging world! I have never tried to have a blog before, which some of my friends find weird because I have always been obsessed with journalism! I decided that I now need an outlet to vent out all my ideas, sometimes my problems, and sometimes I just need to, well, BITCH! I guess my first post should tell a little bit about myself... so here I go..
Once upon a time, in the far away land of Alabama, lived a girl named Paige. She grew up in a small town, attended a small university, and now she lives in the land of Gadsden. She met the love of her life, Sir Thad, in the communications department of Jacksonville State. It was just like a fairytale. Now, they live together with their five month old daughter, Lucy.
